Being only 17 when I started at Mountain Valley was pretty tough. I fell in love with the place though, and everyone who worked there and supported the resident's lives. When Dan came to my house to interview me, my smile was so big because I fell in love with the things he was telling me about. It creates such a safe and happy environment for so many people, and yes the beginning is always hard, but when you realize you want to get better, and give yourself that chance, you find peace and love in MVTC. They have such a superb way of helping each individual, and teaching you the skills you need to succeed. I suffered from severe depression and chronic anxiety for 3 years before MVTC, and when I went I became such a more powerful girl. I learned how to love myself and tell myself that the heart racing isn't a panic attack, but just the fact that I'm a little nervous. I have now been 5 months without a panic attack, and MVTC and their team are to thank for that. Much love!

This place is a really good place to treat your anxiety. The therapists are great and professional and they are also very understanding and not judgmental at all. However, the staff there are very unprofessional; and there are many ways in which the program can be improved.
The therapists are ok but the residential staff are very unprofessional and don't really belong there (not all but a lot). They treat the kids like they were rag dolls and don't really care or even try to understand what they are going through with their anxiety and depression.
